Position Overview
We are currently seeking experienced Guest Attendants to support our partner retirement facility in Brighton, ON. Preference will be given to candidates who reside locally.
We are looking for individuals with open availability across days, evenings, and nights. Candidates must be prepared to provide their availability for the upcoming four weeks.
Key Responsibilities:
Resident Care & Support
- Assist residents with activities that support independence, dignity, and safety.
- Support routine health checks (BP, weight, etc.) and respond to call bells/emergencies.
- Assist with resident admissions, discharges, and general daily operations.
- Monitor resident wellbeing and report concerns to the Health and Wellness Manager.
- Follow all IPAC protocols and contribute to resident Plan of Care discussions.
- Follow all Occupational Health & Safety and facility safety procedures.
- Report accidents, incidents, unsafe conditions, and equipment issues immediately.
Qualifications
- 1–2 years of experience working as a Guest Attendant in a long term care/retirement home setting.
- Secondary School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Personal Support Worker (PSW) certification preferred.
- Current Vulnerable Sector Check - Valid within a span of 6 months
- 2-Step TB - Valid within a span of 6 months or Chest X-ray - Valid within a span of 12 months
- Up-to-date immunization records
