The Cut+Dry founders and executive team have a background uniquely suited to attack this complicated problem. Consisting of lifelong Silicon Valley entrepreneurs, the leaders have built and exited multiple startups and possess deep domain expertise in the restaurant and food supply chain business. They have sold previous startups to one of the world's largest food distributors.
Who We're Looking For
Cut+Dry has developed an industry-leading product to bring food distributors online, increase their sales, and future-proof their businesses. The company has proven its market fit with high customer satisfaction and a successful track record. We are expanding and bringing our product to the entire market.
In this role, you will be working with payment systems to help facilitate payments between restaurant operators and food distributors.
As a Senior Software Engineer you will work with our customer facing teams to develop industry leading experiences for Restaurants, Distributors, and Manufacturers. Internally, you will work closely with other engineers, product managers, product marketers and our executive team. You will also have the opportunity to interact directly with our customers and see your work in real world situations.
Responsibilities:
Works closely with the product team to develop high quality code to meet product requirements.Writes effective technical user stories and ensures that non-functional requirements are met to ensure performance, scaling, resilience and maintainability of software/solutionsActively resolves defects and manages technical debtDevelops unit tests to ensure good coverage and regression testing abilityPractices DevOps methods like CI/CD, SDLC automation and proactive monitoring/telemetryAssures software performs optimally in production through active monitoring for performance and usage.Showcases accountability and ownership of software componentParticipates in code reviews, design discussions, and paired programming with team membersParticipates in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews and retrospectives to enable progress, and surface and resolve impedimentsEvaluates emerging technologies continually to identify opportunities, trends and best practices to strengthen Cut + Dry development practicesMay play a supervisory role toward junior technical resources as they commit toMandatory Experience:
Bachelor's degree in CS or 4-5 years of relevant developer experience3+ years of experience in developing high performance and highly scalable applications in an agile environment(Preferred) Exposure to payment systems such ACH API and payment gateways.Extensive hands-on experience and expertise in modern programming languages (Java, JavaScript, PHP, React, Python, Graphql, MySQL)Strong understanding of Scrum, Lean, XP, Kanban and other agile development techniquesStrong experience building and deploying applications on a cloud platform such as AWSFluency in DevOps, including continuous integration, continuous deployment / delivery, configuration and containerization, infrastructure as a code, and monitoringExcellent verbal and written communication skills.Competencies
