Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Pharmacist role based in Victoria, BC. The Pharmacist will be responsible for dispensing medications, providing expert advice on their use, reviewing prescriptions for accuracy, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Additional responsibilities include counseling patients on medication management, managing inventory, supervising pharmacy support staff, and maintaining thorough documentation to ensure optimal patient care.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge in pharmacy operations, medication dispensing, and prescription accuracy
  • Excellent communication and patient counseling skills
  • Familiarity with inventory management and regulatory compliance standards
  • Capability to supervise pharmacy staff and maintain organized documentation
  • A current pharmacist license in good standing with the BC College of Pharmacists
  • Proficiency in using pharmacy management software systems
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to patient safety
  • Bachelor of Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree
  • Previous experience in community pharmacy or a similar setting is an asset
