Intermediate or Senior Civil Engineer

Location: Dartmouth, NS

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare preliminary and final designs for infrastructure renewal projects, stormwater systems, culverts, watermains, sanitary and storm sewers, and grading.
  • Coordinate approvals and prepare tender documents, cost estimates, contract documents, and reports (including sealing documents).
  • Develop designs, drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Write technical engineering reports.
  • Conduct site visits for information gathering, construction reviews, and attend project design and construction meetings.
  • Prepare proposals and manage project assignments.

Qualifications

  • Registered or eligible to register with Engineers Nova Scotia.
  • 5+ years' experience in civil/municipal engineering.
  • Familiar with applicable design standards.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. A Master's Degree would be considered an asset.
