The Nurse Practitioner (NP) will work as part of an interdisciplinary team, collaborating with Hospitalists, General Practitioners, and Nurse Practitioners to manage the care of a designated group of inpatients. The NP will be responsible for directing clinical care, engaging in both short-term and long-term planning in collaboration

with the inter-professional team, and coordinating transitions of care.

We are currently recruiting for 1.8 FTE positions.

A key focus will be the management of older adult patients admitted to the Hospitalist program, particularly those with sub-acute conditions and complex chronic care needs. Experience in managing behavioral and psychological symptoms of dementia will be considered an asset. The NP is expected to work autonomously at a high level, while also consulting and making appropriate referrals to physicians and other members of the healthcare team as needed.

Hours and Scheduling:

Hours: 08:00 - 20:00

Rotating schedule, including weekends, statutory holidays, and potential on-call shifts.

Salary Range: Salary range for the position is $74.74/hour - $82.21/hour. Interior Health establishes salaries within the minimum and maximum of the salary range based on consideration of the qualifications, experience of the applicant.

Education: Master's degree in Nursing (NP) or equivalent.

Certification: Current Nurse Practitioner certification with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives

Experience: Previous experience in a clinical or healthcare setting, with the ability to diagnose, treat, and manage patient care is considered an asset.
