Responsibilities & Expectations:

The primary responsibility of the Shipper/Receiver is the accurate and efficient picking/packing and moving of items on the premises.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Picking, packing, and moving items on the premises and maintaining proper records of movements.
  • Safely operate overhead cranes and forklifts to move materials.
  • Conduct pre-use inspections of equipment and report any issues to the supervisor.
  • Properly enter information in the storage application using computers and tablets.
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment in storage and shipping/receiving areas.
  • Wrapping, banding, and staging equipment for pickup.
  • Accurately complete shipping documentation.
  • Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents, record shortages, and reject damaged goods.
  • Support the Asset Management Coordinator with equipment placement strategies and maximizing usable space.
  • Support warehouse/inventory audits.
  • Complete asset maintenance and documentation

Qualifications and Competencies:

  • Have relevant experience, ideally in an industrial plant /operations role or inventory management.
  • Expert forklift skills.
  • Intermediate computer and tablet skills.
  • Intermediate/Expert lifting and rigging experience.
  • The environment includes exposure to loud noises, heat, cold, dirty/dusty.
