About the Role

We're looking for an energetic, reliable team player to join our centre as an After School Program Leader (BAP). In this role, you'll help lead meaningful programming for kids aged 4.5–12 — everything from arts and active play to snacks and structured routines. The hours are Monday to Friday from 1:30–5:45 p.m., with occasional extended hours on Early dismissal days.

What You'll Do

  • Build strong, positive relationships with children and act as a consistent, caring adult in their lives.
  • Help plan and deliver high-quality programs that keep kids engaged, active, and supported.
  • Work closely with your team to ensure daily routines run smoothly — and jump in to help wherever needed.
  • Keep our classroom and school areas clean, safe, and organized, following our health and safety protocols.
  • Communicate professionally with parents, caregivers, and colleagues.
  • Uphold our core values of Belonging, Respect, Encouragement & Support, and Working Together.

What You'll Bring

  • A high school diploma (some post-secondary education or relevant experience is a plus).
  • At least one year of experience working with children or youth (paid or volunteer).
  • Confidence managing group dynamics and responding to behavior support needs.
  • A strong sense of accountability and the ability to work well on a team.
  • Comfort leading activities independently with a focus on child development.
  • First Aid & CPR level C.
  • A clear Criminal Record Check and Child Abuse Registry Check (required before start).

Additional Info

  • Training in High Five or willingness to take training.
  • This position reports to the Director.
  • This is a 8-month term with a possibility of renewal, operates same as school year.

Expected hours: 20 – 22 per week

Experience:

  • Early Childhood Education or at least experience in Childcare working with school age children.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.50-$23.00 per hour
