IH Casa Décor is a leading Canadian wholesaler of home décor, seasonal collections, and lifestyle products. Our North York showroom showcases thousands of items to retail buyers across the country. We're looking for a creative and hands-on Showroom Designer to help bring our products to life through thoughtful displays and inspiring layouts.

Position Overview

As our Showroom Designer, you'll shape the visual look and feel of the showroom. You will arrange displays, coordinate seasonal resets, and ensure the space is always buyer-ready. This role is ideal for someone with a strong eye for design who enjoys being hands-on with décor, props, and product merchandising.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain visually compelling showroom displays that showcase product stories, themes, and seasonal collections.
  • Plan and execute layout changes during new product rollouts, seasonal resets, and showroom updates.
  • Work closely with the purchasing and sales teams to highlight new arrivals and priority merchandise.
  • Ensure the showroom is always organized, clean, well-stocked, and visually consistent with brand standards.
  • Manage décor props, display fixtures, signage, and other visual elements needed for effective merchandising.
  • Prepare the showroom for buyer appointments, vendor meetings, and special events to ensure a professional and welcoming environment.
  • Support sample coordination, product placement, and overall showroom flow to keep displays fresh and buyer-ready.

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of experience in visual merchandising, interior design, or showroom setup — experience in a wholesale showroom environment is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of how to present products for wholesale buyers, including grouping, flow, and category storytelling.
  • Excellent sense of style, colour coordination, and seasonal theme execution.
  • Comfortable working hands-on with merchandise, fixtures, and displays (including lifting and moving products).
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with purchasing, sales, and warehouse teams.
  • Familiarity with simple design or layout tools (e.g., Canva, SketchUp) is an asset but not required.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks or display changes simultaneously.

Compensation & Details

  • Salary: Competitive and commensurate with experience
  • Hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (on-site showroom role)

Job Type: Freelance

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week
