POSITION TITLE: Lead Surveyor – Civil Construction

QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Minimum 5 years of construction surveying experience
  • Preferred Diploma in Geomatics Engineering, Surveying Technology and /or combination of education and work experience
  • Must be proficient in the use of total stations, GPS receivers and data collectors, GPS reduction software such as Trimble.
  • Experience using Autodesk Civil 3D
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Technical competence and attention to detail
  • A high level of dependability
  • Candidates must be local or willing to relocate to the Kamloops area
  • A valid driver's license is required
  • Physically fit
  • Willing to work in inclement weather

· Knowledge of principles of monumentation, staking and marking.

  • Civil Construction layout experience in all aspects of deep utilities and roadworks.
  • Create reports and maps according to customer or project requirements containing information from field measurements, boundary markers and topographical features
  • Prepare two-dimensional maps and three-dimensional computer renderings of property features, such as boundary lines, geological points of interest, existing structures, water features and utility lines
  • Communicate with engineers and construction personnel as needed during civil construction projects
  • Drone experience with advanced certification from Nav Canada is preferred but we will support the right candidate in acquiring this license.
