Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. This role requires a strong understanding of vehicle operation, maintenance, and safety protocols, as well as the ability to handle various types of freight.

Duties

  • Operate commercial vehicles to transport freight to designated locations in a timely manner.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
  • Load and unload freight, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents that occur during transport.
  • Perform basic automotive repairs and maintenance on vehicles as needed to ensure optimal performance.
  • Operate forklifts and other heavy equipment safely during loading and unloading processes.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, supervisors, and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise.

Qualifications

  • Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) is required.
  • Experience in commercial driving with a clean driving record is preferred.
  • Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety regulations is essential.
  • Familiarity with heavy equipment operation is a plus.
  • Basic automotive repair skills are desirable for maintaining vehicle functionality.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
