Overview
Performs a variety of technical procedures in CT and radiography that will require a certain amount of independent judgment. May be involved in some teaching of students in the practical aspect of Radiography and CT.

New MRT graduates are welcome On-the-job CT training is available for successful candidates who are currently trained in X-Ray

Travel is a requirement of this position

Education

  • Satisfactory completion of formal radiography training in an approved Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (C.A.M.R.T.) training school or equivalent.
  • Registration with the College of Medical Radiation Technologists of Ontario (C.M.R.T.O.).
  • Advanced knowledge/education in anatomy and physiology, including cross-sectional anatomy, preferred.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year CT Technologist experience in the last three years preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year helical multi-slice CT scan experience (preferably on a Toshiba CT scanner) preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to function in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative within scope of responsibility.
  • Must be available to work evenings, on-call & statutory holidays.
  • Good work and attendance record required.
