Position Summary

We are seeking a 1st/ 2nd Year Apprentice Welder/ Fabricator to join our Manufacturing team. This role plays a critical part in supporting fabrication workflows, constructing skids, base frames, and structural frames, and ensuring high-quality workmanship. The ideal candidate will bring technical aptitude, attention to detail, and a strong focus on safety and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work under the supervision of Journeyman welders to fabricate skids, base frames, and structural frames of all sizes
  • Fit and weld according to blueprint drawings
  • Cut and prep parts for welding
  • Operate and maintain equipment such as tape measures, grinders, torches, drill presses, and hand tools
  • Participate in safety meetings and follow all company safety protocols
  • Maintain high-quality, consistent workmanship while demonstrating a willingness to learn and improve

Qualifications

  • Registered or willing to register with the Alberta Apprenticeship Board
  • Knowledge of raw materials
  • Strong judgment, focus, and ability to work in a team environment
  • FCAW and GMAW welding experience (asset)
  • WHMIS and OSSA training (asset)
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Tools required: welding helmet, 5" grinder, chipping hammer, hammer, center punch (tools not supplied; candidates must build their own collection)
