Sales Manager - Construction (Burnaby, BC)
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Sales Manager to lead inside sales operations, develop external sales strategy, and drive revenue growth across the Lower Mainland construction market. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership capability, hands-on sales execution, and deep knowledge of concrete construction products and customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop budgets, forecasting, and performance targets
  • Lead, coach, and expand a team of inside sales representatives
  • Build and execute strategy for outside sales activities
  • Manage and grow key accounts while closing major opportunities
  • Prospect and penetrate new markets and customer segments
  • Develop relationships across contractors, ready-mix producers, precast manufacturers, rental companies, and related segments
  • Partner with service, parts, and rental departments to deliver complete solutions
  • Conduct joint calls, ride-alongs, and regular performance reviews
  • Represent the business at industry events and trade shows
  • Track pipeline activity, forecasting, and sales metrics through NetSuite CRM
  • Recruit, hire, and onboard sales talent as the organization expands
  • Participate in joint planning with operations to ensure revenue targets are met

Requirements

  • 7+ years of construction or industrial sales experience
  • Minimum 3 years leading a sales team (preferably construction supplies, concrete equipment or heavy machinery)
  • Knowledge of concrete construction materials, equipment, and applications
  • Existing network of concrete contractors, ready-mix producers, and rental organizations
  • Strong financial acumen and experience with equipment financing and margins
  • Ability to travel across the Lower Mainland
  • Clean driving record; ability to operate/demo equipment
