Metropolitan School of Bartending is a certificate granting post-secondary institution in Calgary. Our mission is teaching the next generation of bartenders, the gold standard in Bartending.

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and customer-oriented Bartender Instructor to join our team. You will be responsible for providing exceptional instruction to our students, giving real life examples, and maintaining a clean and organized work area.

Duties:

  • Greet and interact with students in a friendly and professional manner

  • Deliver the course according to the established Syllabus

  • Conduct client service drills, including fast-paced drink making

  • Instruct students to create a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks according to recipes and venue standards

  • Maintain a clean and well-stocked bar area, including restocking supplies and garnishes as needed.

  • Conduct weekly inventory on a tablet

  • Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines

  • Perform opening and closing duties, including cleaning glasses, utensils, bar equipment, and instructing the students to clean their workstations and tools

-Delegate bar related tasks to students

Experience:

  • Previous experience as a Bartender in a restaurant or bar setting is required

  • Proficient in using a POS (Point of Sale) system for order processing

  • Knowledge of basic math skills for inventory management

  • Familiarity with food safety regulations and procedures

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers and team members

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

  • Time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively

  • Bartending: 4 years (required)

Licence/Certification:
