X-Ray Technologist

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented X-ray Technologist to join our healthcare team. This role requires a strong understanding of medical imaging techniques, excellent patient care skills. Candidates should possess a solid knowledge of medical terminology and demonstrate professionalism in a clinical setting.

Duties

• Prepare patients for X-ray procedures by explaining the process and ensuring their comfort and safety
• Operate X-ray equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images as ordered by physicians
• Position patients accurately to capture precise images needed for diagnosis
• Maintain and calibrate imaging equipment regularly to ensure optimal performance
• Follow strict safety guidelines to protect patients, staff, and oneself from unnecessary radiation exposure
• Review images for clarity and proper positioning before releasing them for physician review

Experience

• Must be registered with CMRITO
• Prior experience as an X-ray Technician or in a similar diagnostic imaging role is preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology is essential for accurate communication and documentation
• Strong understanding of radiation safety protocols and patient care standards
• Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients of all ages and backgrounds
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment while maintaining attention to detail

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $44.00-$48.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
