About the Role Reporting to the Chief Growth Officer, you will lead the Partnerships function at FreshBooks. In this role, you'll build the overall partnerships strategy for the organization with a focus on scaling our brand and business through third party referral relationships that are relevant to our target customer. This is an exciting opportunity to build an important growth channel for the organization.
This role is open to candidates in Canada and the United States (with some exceptions), though occasional travel to Toronto may be required. For a successful Toronto-based candidate, the expectation is in-office attendance 2x/week.
What You'll Do: Build the vision for referral partnerships at FreshBooks, with a focus on identifying the right organizations with which we should partner to drive acquisition at scaleEvaluate the partner market landscape to recruit, onboard and operationalize each partnership working closely with internal teams at FreshBooks across product, technology, sales and marketingLead two direct reports across partner acquisition and partner growth, ensuring they are engaged and delivering at the highest levelTake a data-informed approach to performance monitoring, leveraging our internal tools and partner relationship management platform to derive insights and take action to correct underperformanceSet the strategy for partner incentives and ongoing partner management to build a motion that drives mutual benefit and efficient growthMaintain strong relationships with partners including regular business reviews where you work together to identify areas of opportunity to achieve shared objectives
What You'll Bring:8+ years of progressive experience in partnerships, channel management, business development, or adjacent growth roles within a SaaS, platform, or technology-enabled businessDeep referral, co-marketing and co-sell experience from a relevant industryChannel management, sales and/or business development experienceStrong business and financial acumen with experience managing large partnerships and moving them along the curve to full revenue engagementBackground in SaaS, platform and community building partnershipsStrong analytical skills for market analysis, program measurement, and ROI assessmentExperience leading teams through complex projects to successful outcomesProven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence senior stakeholdersA commitment to the connection between happy customers and engaged teamsAn innovative mind, with a drive to push boundaries, test new ideas, and implement creative approaches to work
