REDI Enterprises Society is presently seeking a fulltime Employer Engagement Specialist for the Medicine Hat REDIworks division with a wage of $26.50/hour, this opportunity is subject to and dependent on the approval of necessary grant funding. This position will act as the main point of contact for employers, ensuring that each business receives clear communication, timely follow-up, and guidance through every stage of service. This position is responsible for conducting initial consultations, understanding employer needs, gathering workplace information, coordinating service activities, and reinforcing long-term relationships. In this role you will:

  • Assist employers in navigating processes such as job design, onboarding, accommodations, and workforce planning, ensuring that supports are delivered in a way that makes sense for each individual business
  • Develop marketing materials, participate in networking events, and liaise with relevant stakeholders to promote service
  • Lead sessions, provide resource kits, and information for training sessions, wage subsidies, industry tools, or relevant professional associations
  • Assist with planning and facilitating engagement events such as job fairs, sector-specific recruitment sessions, and employer roundtables

The ideal candidate for the Employer Engagement Specialist role is a highly effective communicator and relationship builder who can serve as the primary link between the agency and employers. They must possess strong consultation skills to accurately assess employer needs, gather essential workplace information, and develop comprehensive service plans. This individual should be knowledgeable about labour market dynamics, workplace regulations, and available community resources to provide expert guidance on topics like job design, accommodations, and workforce planning. The candidate is someone who is highly organized with the ability to coordinate service execution, manage data tracking, and ensure timely follow-up, ultimately reinforcing long-term partnerships and successful service outcomes.

Job Requirements

  • 2 years of post-secondary education in a related field
  • Between six months and two years of relevant experience, suitable combination of education and experience may be considered
  • First Aid – Level C / CPR certificate
  • Valid Class 5 Alberta Driver's license and access to a vehicle with $2 million liability insurance
  • Basic computer literacy that meets the requirements of the specific role and agency/service
  • Criminal record and Vulnerable Sector Check that are acceptable to the Executive Director
  • Ability to communicate clearly in both written and verbal formats

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $26.50 per hour
