The Opportunity

Shape the future of urban mobility by joining our Rail Systems Engineering team in the Greater Toronto Area. You'll play a pivotal role in planning and executing systems requirements activities for a major urban rail extension project—integrating new-build systems infrastructure with existing operational transit lines. This is your chance to lead technical processes, define execution strategies, and collaborate with multidisciplinary experts on projects that transform communities.

Proud to share that the WSP in Canada Rail & Transit team has achieved 1st place for "Great Company to Work for in Canadian Rail" at the Inaugural TRACCS Transit & Rail Association Awards.

Your Impact

  • Administer and maintain IBM DOORS NG requirements repository, ensuring configuration control and synchronization across design activities.

  • Drive requirements analysis, decomposition, and traceability to support compliance and alignment with project objectives.

  • Apply systems engineering principles to allocate requirements effectively across design teams and phases of the V-model lifecycle.

  • Capture and manage changes to the Project Agreement and related documentation in line with established change management processes.

The Skills That Set You Apart

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in systems, electrical, or related engineering discipline; P.Eng. license in Ontario required.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in systems engineering within transit or safety-critical industries.

  • Proficiency in IBM DOORS NG and strong understanding of requirements management and V-model lifecycle.

  • Familiarity with signalling, SCADA, communications, traction power, and overhead catenary systems; knowledge of Metrolinx standards is an asset.

  • INCOSE ASEP or CSEP certification considered an advantage.

Compensation:

  • BC, AB, SK, NWT & NU: $135,200 – $179,100

  • MB & ON: $123,300 – $169,800

  • Atlantic Provinces & QC: $122,100 – $162,200
