Position Summary:

Reporting to the Senior Manager, the Manager, Consolidation & Financial Reporting will support the Senior Manager in managing the consolidation process and the consolidated financial statements in accordance with IFRS Accounting Standards. The Manager will have a mix of direct and indirect reports. This is a hybrid position.

Key Responsibilities:

Managing and improving the month-end consolidation process, and preparing the monthly financial statements (statement of financial position, statement of profit or loss and other comprehensive income, and statement of cash flow)Preparing the annual consolidated financial statements, including the notes, and ensuring their compliance with IFRS Accounting StandardManaging the consolidation system as well as the system used for the preparation of the annual consolidated financial statementsLeading the external audit of the annual consolidated financial statementsResolving complex accounting subjects and preparing accounting memos, including leases and business combinationsCoaching and training the Consolidation & Financial Reporting team on accounting under IFRS Accounting Standards, month-end process, and the consolidation systemProviding support to local accounting teams and other departments within PFX Group on accounting questions and consolidation system mattersMaintaining and developing accounting policies to ensure that the financial reporting complies with IFRS Accounting StandardsPreparing ad hoc training sessions on various accounting topicEnsuring new IFRS Accounting Standards are monitored and leading implementation projects for new IFRS Accounting Standards.

Qualifications and Skills:

CPA designationMinimum of 6 years of relevant experienceStrong experience in consolidation and consolidation systemsAbility to manage processes and teamsExcellent knowledge of ExcelExperience with IFRS Accounting StandardsBilingual English-FrenchTeam-oriented with strong coaching skillsCommitment to quality work and continuous improvementAbility to adapt to a changing environmentProactive, reliable, and initiative-drivenStrong problem-solving and communication skills
