Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to support the daily operations of our restaurant. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a solid background in food service, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring food safety standards, managing restaurant workflows, and contributing to a positive dining environment. Previous experience in restaurant management, hospitality, or food industry roles such as hotel or barista experience is highly valued. The Assistant Restaurant Manager will play a key role in maintaining high standards of service, food quality, and team performance.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations to ensure smooth service flow.
  • Supervise and motivate staff, including interviewing and training new team members.
  • Ensure food preparation and cooking meet safety and quality standards.
  • Manage POS systems such as Micros POS and handle cash transactions accurately.
  • Oversee food handling procedures and enforce food safety regulations.
  • Support customer service initiatives to enhance guest satisfaction and resolve any issues promptly.
  • Coordinate with kitchen staff on food preparation, serving, and hospitality standards.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
  • Lead by example in maintaining cleanliness, organization, and compliance with health regulations.
  • Assist with scheduling staff shifts and managing team performance to optimize productivity.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in food service or restaurant management, including supervising teams.
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety protocols.
  • Experience with POS systems such as Micros POS; cash handling skills are essential.
  • Background in hospitality or hotel industry is a plus; barista experience is advantageous.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle challenging situations professionally.
  • Leadership qualities with experience in team management, interviewing, and training staff.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy hours while maintaining attention to detail.
