Position Title: Auto Parts Store Stock & Customer Service Associate

Location: Strathroy, ON

Type of Employment: Full-time permanent

Compensation: $20-22 per hour & comprehensive group benefits

Hours:

• 40 to 44 hours per week
• Monday to Friday
• Alternating Saturday shifts

Position Summary

As the Stock & Customer Service Associate, the individual will perform Stocking/Order Picking and Customer Service duties as needed. They will be required to efficiently check, pick, pack, receive, ship, stock and organize automotive parts. They will help maintain the inventory and cleanliness of the store. They will be required to dispatch drivers and reliably deliver parts to our valued customers. They will also be required to provide quality customer service and assist customer inquiries both in-person and over the phone using their own automotive knowledge, the company systems and parts catalogues. The successful candidate will also assist with completing any necessary paperwork in an accurate manner. Effective use of resources, such as the Company database and parts catalogue will be required.

Key Responsibilities

• Support all store warehouse duties (picking orders, receiving, inventory control, shipping, stocking and organizing)
• Co-ordinate the drivers for effective dispatching of vehicles
• Efficiently and safely load auto parts onto delivery vehicles
• Efficiently deliver parts, being mindful of customer requests
• Help control inventory and ensure product availability
• Provide quality customer service and assist customer inquiries both in-person and over the phone using their own automotive knowledge, the company systems and parts catalogues
• Answer inbound calls and ensure all calls are answered in a professional manner
• Conduct follow-up calls to customers as necessary
• Complete necessary paperwork in an accurate manner
• Collaborate with the main warehouse to resolve stock-related concerns
• Maintain a clean and organized store by keeping racking, shelves, pallet areas, workstations and shared spaces neat (organize products, sweep, dust, sanitize and mop)
• Other reasonable duties as assigned by the management team

Key Requirements

• G Driver's License and a clean 3-year abstract required
• Picking, receiving, shipping, inventory control, stock maintenance and/or driver dispatching experience preferred
• Familiarity and knowledge of the local Strathroy area preferred
• Aftermarket automotive parts knowledge/experience is an asset
• Customer service experience is an asset
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
• Basic math skills and ability to sort alphanumerically
• Basic computer skills (e.g. ability to use Outlook, online database and web-based training)

Physical Requirements

• Ability to reliably work 40 to 44 hours per week
• Ability to lift and move 10 lbs. (4.5 kg) to 50 lbs kg) safely and consistently
