We are seeking a dedicated, proactive, and skilled Maintenance Person to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in multi-residential high-rise maintenance, with strong knowledge of plumbing, boiler heating systems, electrical work, and general building repairs.

You must be professional, courteous, reliable, and demonstrate an excellent work ethic. This role requires a self-starter who can work independently while also thriving in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform a wide range of plumbing repairs and maintenance, including faucet, sink, and toilet repairs; clearing clogs; replacing pipes; completing faucet rough-ins; and locating leaks or other plumbing issues.
  • Conduct electrical duties, such as replacing outlets, switches, and light fixtures, and identifying electrical concerns as needed.
  • Complete cabinetry and closet door repairs and installations.
  • Carry out Fire & Life Safety procedures and ensure all compliance tasks are completed accurately and on schedule.
  • Oversee waste, recycling, and compactor operations, including evening and weekend requirements.
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain a high level of professionalism when interacting with residents and staff.
  • Participate in the emergency on-call rotation (overnight and weekends).
  • Act as a liaison with contractors and security personnel.
  • Oversee overall building cleanliness and perform occasional cleaning duties as needed.
  • Maintain building supplies and inventory, ensuring proper stock levels and organization.
  • Communicate and coordinate daily with the management office.

Experience & Skills Required

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a large high-rise rental property
  • Strong proficiency in unit and building maintenance
  • Knowledge of boiler heating systems, plumbing, and electrical systems
  • Understanding of WHMIS and Health & Safety standards and procedures
  • Familiarity with building fire code compliance
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and work independently

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $35,000
  • Housing: Large 1 + Den apartment included (rent-free, taxable benefit)
  • Parking: 1 indoor parking spot included
