The Executive Director, Safety, Engineering & Audit (Executive Director) provides operational leadership and oversight for the BCER's Safety, Engineering & Audit department ensuring public safety, environmental protection, and the conservation of petroleum resources.

This position is accountable for implementing strategic direction and delivering results across four core business areas: Pipelines & External Audit, LNG & Research, Facility Technical Compliance, and Civil & IMP Technical Compliance. The Executive Director leads, coaches, and mentors a diverse team of technical professionals, driving innovation, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

The Executive Director provides advice to and collaborates with BCER's leadership, employees, and industry on emerging issues, while supporting proactive strategies focused on regulating pipelines, facilities, Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG), and freshwater dams. The Executive Director drives continuous improvement for technical applications and decision-making activities focused on BCER's mandate and areas of expansion. The role leads the development and implementation of innovative programs, policies, process, and operational procedures to enhance the effectiveness of the application style with a risk-based approach.

Salary:
$152,893 - $182,941 – Permanent Full-Time, based on a 35-hour work week.
