In this position, you'll be doing more than just driving — you'll contribute to the overall success of the team by operating haul trucks and assisting with labour tasks when needed.
Location & Schedule
- Base Location: Sparwood, BC.
- Schedule: Part-Time, On-Call work
What You'll Do
- Operate a CAT rigid frame or articulated haul truck safely and efficiently.
- Support site operations with manual labour tasks such as shoveling, loading/unloading supplies, light maintenance, and operating powered equipment.
- Complete daily 360° equipment inspections for safety and operational readiness.
- Follow maintenance schedules and promptly report repair needs.
- Perform and document Field Level Hazard Assessments (FLHAs) daily.
- Maintain accurate work reports, timecards, and maintenance logs.
- Uphold high safety standards for yourself, your crew, and your equipment.
- Step out of the cab to help with additional tasks when needed — teamwork is key.
What You Bring
- 1–3+ years operating a CAT rigid frame or articulated haul truck.
- Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence, reliable transportation, and a clean Driver's Abstract.
- Willingness and ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and handle up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
- Proven safety-first mindset, with experience completing and following FLHAs.
- Comfortable driving in all types of weather to and from worksites.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Stable work history, ideally in an industrial or mining environment.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to take direction well.
- Willingness to learn and grow through training and mentorship.
