Data & Reporting Analyst autonomously contributes by developing data and reporting assets for various key Retail Sales & Service projects and initiatives. This role is responsible for providing business value through the creation, maintenance, implementation of data and reporting solutions and can effectively communicate said value to a business audience. The Data & Reporting Analyst will play a key role in upholding the organization's established data and analytics governance.
How you will create impact:- Gather and document requirements by working closely with stakeholders for data, dashboard, and reporting needs.
- Develop and maintain data and reporting assets for Retail Sales & Service projects, using enterprise tools (e.g., MicroStrategy, PowerBI) to enable effective analysis and storytelling.
- Communicate findings and recommendations to colleagues, managers, and business audiences, influencing decisions and supporting operational requests.
- Uphold data and analytics governance and contribute to continuous improvement of reporting processes
- Data querying (T-SQL, SQL, SAS, Python, etc.)
- Understand, insurance business domain, business objectives and ensure your own tasks contribute to meeting the business objectives.
- Foster Collaboration: Proactively seek opportunities to work with colleagues across the DI&A team, building strong relationships to achieve shared goals.
- Communicate Effectively: Clearly and confidently explain information and insights to others, ensuring understanding in straightforward situations.
- Drive Innovation: Challenge existing processes and approaches, identifying areas for improvement and proposing creative solutions when current methods are not optimal.
- You have experience working in data, reporting or analytics related role.
- You have a post-secondary degree in a related discipline (Actuarial, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Finance).
- You have experience with Business Intelligence and developer tools (MicroStrategy, PowerBI, SAS, Microsoft SQL Server, Azure Data Studio).
- You have a great understanding of the insurance business domain.
- You have experience working with large data warehouse and strong SQL skills.
- This position primarily works with majority non-francophone groups, and teams located outside of Québec, and requires proficiency in English. The essential non-French duties are not assignable to adjacent or other team members.
