We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our team as an optometric assistant. This position combines the responsibilities of managing the front desk with administrative tasks, and duties of an optometric technician. It is open to both part-time and full-time applicants.

We are looking for a dedicated and outgoing individual, who is a fast learner and has excellent communication skills. Long-term commitment is desired with potential growth into a managerial role. Must be available to work on Saturdays.

Previous eye care & administrative experience is recommended, but not necessary.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties: *will include but not be limited to*

  • Administrative duties: ie. scheduling appointments, invoicing, insurance billing, answering phone calls/emails, taking payments, etc.
  • Pretesting patients using automated equipment
  • Managing the office and team
  • Carrying out diagnostic tests (ie. retinal imaging, visual fields)
  • Contact lens management – teaching insertion/removal, managing contact lens inventory
  • Assisting patients with frame selection and lens recommendations
  • Educating patients on recommendations made by the doctor
  • Marketing – helping grow social media presence on Facebook and Instagram
  • Miscellaneous in-office duties as assigned
