Job Overview
We are seeking a dependable and experienced Snow Plow Operator to efficiently clear snow and ice from designated roadways, parking lots, and walkways during winter months. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating heavy machinery and possess mechanical knowledge to ensure safe and effective snow removal operations. This role is essential for maintaining safe access for residents, employees, and visitors in winter conditions.
Responsibilities
- Operate snow plow trucks and related heavy machinery to clear snow and ice from roads, parking lots, sidewalks, and walkways
- Perform routine inspections of equipment before and after use to ensure proper functioning
- Apply salt or de-icing materials as needed to prevent ice formation
- Maintain equipment by notifying maintenance teams of repairs needed
- Follow safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents or injuries during snow removal operations
- Communicate effectively with team members regarding work progress and any operational issues
- Required to be on call for the winter months
Skills
- Proven experience operating snow plow trucks or similar heavy machinery
- Ability to work outdoors in cold weather conditions for extended periods
- Strong attention to safety protocols and ability to follow detailed instructions
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Physical stamina for lifting, bending, and working in challenging winter weather environments
- A clean drivers abstract is required
This position requires candidates to be reliable, safety-conscious, and ready to handle physically demanding tasks during winter months.

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
