Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Long Haul Driver for flatbed work to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting freight across long distances, ensuring timely and safe delivery while adhering to all regulations and company policies. This role requires a commitment to safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Operate commercial vehicles to transport goods over long distances, ensuring compliance with traffic laws and regulations.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and functionality.
  • Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, fuel consumption, and other required documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
  • Load and unload freight as necessary, load securement
  • Perform routine maintenance and minor automotive repairs on the vehicle to ensure optimal performance.
  • Operate heavy equipment safely during loading and unloading processes as needed.

Skills

  • Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid CDL license.
  • Proficiency in operating forklifts and handling freight efficiently.
  • Strong knowledge of heavy equipment operation principles.
  • Basic automotive repair skills to address minor vehicle issues on the road.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
