About the Role
Stellari is hiring a Junior Full Stack Developer to support the development of Koru, a modern web application focused on event experiences, real-time interactions, and social matching. This is a student friendly role designed to provide meaningful experience in full stack development, cloud technologies, and agile workflows while allowing for flexible scheduling during the academic year.
You will work primarily remotely with guidance and mentorship from an experienced professional software engineer. The role involves contributing directly to the MVP build of a real production application.
Responsibilities
Full Stack Development
- Build user interfaces using JavaScript, React, and Tailwind CSS
- Work with TypeScript for more advanced front-end and back-end tasks
- Develop and maintain API routes and server logic using
- Assist with data modeling, database queries, and storage design
- Implement authentication flows and user onboarding features
- Contribute to reusable components and UI patterns
- Help improve overall product usability and experience
Cloud and Infrastructure (asset, not required)
- Work with AWS or similar platforms for API hosting or storage
- Contribute to basic deployment tasks
- Participate in logging and debugging workflows
Agile Workflow
- Use GitHub for version control and pull requests
- Work from a Kanban board to manage tasks and project priorities
- Join short online check-ins and planning meetings
- Contribute to documentation for features and technical decisions
Required Skills
- Knowledge of JavaScript
- Experience with React
- Basic understanding of TypeScript or a willingness to learn
- Familiarity with front-end development concepts
- Interest in back-end logic and building complete feature flows
- Good problem solving skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
Assets
- Tailwind CSS
- AWS or similar cloud experience
