Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Service Counter Attendant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while assisting with food preparation and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service and a commitment to ensuring customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately.
  • Handle cash transactions efficiently and responsibly, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
  • Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system to process orders and payments.
  • Assist in food preparation, ensuring all items are prepared according to safety and quality standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas by regularly sanitizing surfaces and equipment.
  • Ensure adherence to food safety guidelines during food handling and preparation.
  • Provide assistance to customers as needed, answering questions about menu items and specials.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and high-quality food delivery.
  • This position will also include heavy lifting for up to 50 pounds

Skills

  • Proficient in cash handling and basic math skills for accurate transaction processing.
  • Familiarity with POS systems for efficient order processing.
  • Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact positively with customers and team members.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • A team player who is willing to help others and contribute to a positive work atmosphere.
