Job Overview

We are seeking a talented and personable Hair Stylist to join our vibrant salon team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for beauty and customer service, providing clients with exceptional hair styling services while creating a welcoming and professional environment. This role offers opportunities for creativity, skill development, and building lasting client relationships. The position involves delivering high-quality haircuts, color treatments, and styling, as well as engaging in retail sales and maintaining salon cleanliness and sanitation standards.

Responsibilities

  • Consult with clients to understand their hair styling preferences and recommend suitable treatments.
  • Perform a variety of hair services including cutting, coloring, styling, and chemical treatments.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitized work station in accordance with health and safety regulations.
  • Provide excellent customer service by ensuring clients feel comfortable and satisfied with their results.
  • Upsell retail products such as shampoos, conditioners, and styling tools to enhance client experience and salon revenue.
  • Manage front desk duties including scheduling appointments, checking in clients, and processing transactions.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to build rapport and encourage repeat business.
  • Stay current on the latest hair trends, techniques, and products through ongoing education.

Experience

  • Prior experience as a professional Hair Stylist is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
  • Knowledge of sanitation standards within a salon environment is essential.
  • Ability to upsell retail products naturally during client consultations.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
