Window Fabricator

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Window Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have experience in fabrication, assembly, and welding, with a strong understanding of blueprint reading and mechanical principles. This role involves working on custom window projects, utilizing various tools and techniques to produce high-quality products that meet industry standards. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment focused on precision craftsmanship and manufacturing excellence.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate fabrication of window components.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and specialized machinery such as press brake machines, plasma cutters, and sheet metal equipment.
• Perform welding tasks including MIG, TIG, FCAW, and welding to join metal components securely.
• Use calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments to verify dimensions and tolerances.
• Cut, shape, and assemble sheet metal, ductwork, and other materials according to specifications.
• Utilize rigging and crane operations for lifting and positioning large or heavy materials safely.
• Follow ASME codes & standards during fabrication processes to ensure safety and quality compliance.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols related to construction site practices.
• Assist with machining, pipe threading, soldering, and assembly tasks as needed for project completion.
• Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in construction site work or manufacturing environments involving fabrication or assembly.
• Skilled in MIG welding, TIG welding, FCAW, plasma cutting, and welding techniques.
• Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, press brake machines, forklift trucks, and machining equipment safely.
• Mechanical knowledge related to ductwork, pipe threading, soldering, rigging, and general fabrication processes.
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations essential for precise fabrication work.
• Strong understanding of safety standards including ASME codes & standards.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. This role is integral to producing high-quality window products through skilled craftsmanship and adherence to industry standards. Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $18.00-$26.00 per hour
