Project Manager

Notre client est une entreprise spécialisée dans la conception, la fabrication et l'installation de métaux ouvrés et d'acier de structure pour l'industrie de la construction. Nous recrutons un(e) Chef de projet (PM) pour rejoindre une équipe hautement expérimentée.

• Poste : Temps plein, permanent

• Mode : Sur site

• Salaire : Selon l'expérience (jusqu'à $)

La personne retenue travaillera directement avec l'équipe de direction sur la circulation de l'information à l'interne, vers le client et les sous-traitants. Le/la PM doit être un(e) joueur/joueuse d'équipe très motivé(e), axé(e) sur les résultats, prêt(e) à consacrer le temps et l'attention nécessaires pour assurer la réussite des projets.

Responsabilités principales :

• Gérer l'ensemble des fonctions et étapes du cycle de vie du projet.

• Coordonner avec les responsables de production pour les dessins d'atelier et la fabrication.

• Coordonner avec l'acheteur pour l'achat de tous les matériaux.

• Coordonner avec le/la gestionnaire de bureau pour toute la documentation contractuelle et de projet.

• Coordonner toutes les interactions avec les PM et contremaîtres de l'entrepreneur général.

• Coordonner l'installation et veiller au respect des échéanciers.

Le/la candidat(e) doit posséder :

• Une excellente compréhension de l'industrie de la construction et de la gestion de projet, ainsi qu'une excellente compréhension des projets en métaux ouvrés et en acier de structure.

• La capacité de lire, comprendre et interpréter les plans architecturaux et structuraux afin d'effectuer les quantitatifs, les estimations et de préparer les dessins d'atelier.

• Une solide compréhension des méthodes, pratiques et matériaux actuels en construction.

• La connaissance des codes et normes applicables à l'acier de structure et aux métaux ouvrés.

• Une connaissance fonctionnelle d'AutoCAD (atout).

• Une connaissance des outils Microsoft Office.

Le/la candidat(e) doit :

• Avoir d'excellentes compétences en communication.

• Être bilingue français/anglais.

• Avoir d'excellentes aptitudes de planification et d'organisation.

• Être hautement motivé(e), proactif(ve) et prêt(e) à relever de nouveaux défis.

• Avoir une expérience directe en gestion de projets de métaux ouvrés et d'acier de structure, soit chez un sous-traitant spécialisé, soit chez un entrepreneur général.

• Formation universitaire (baccalauréat) préférée. Une formation postsecondaire combinée à une expérience directe du secteur sera considérée.

• Minimum de 5 ans d'expérience dans l'industrie de la construction.

Project Manager
Our client is a company specialized in the design, fabrication and installation of miscellaneous metals and structural steel for the construction industry. We are hiring a Project Manager (PM) to join its deeply experienced team.

Full time, permanent
On-site
Salary is offered based on experience( up to $90K).

RESPONSIBILLITIES

The candidate will work directly with the management team on the flow of information internally, to the client, and to subcontractors. The PM must be a highly motivated team player and goal-oriented individual that is willing to put the time and attention required to ensure the success of the projects.

Primary responsibilities include:
- Manage all functions and steps of the project life cycle.
- Coordinating with the Production Managers for all shop drawings and fabrication.
- Coordinate with the buyer for the purchase of all materials.
- Coordinating with the Office Manager for all contract and project documentation.
- Coordinating all interactions with the General Contractor's PM's and foremen.
- Coordinating installation and ensuring that projects are completed on time.

SKILLS

The candidate must have:
- An excellent understanding of the construction industry and project management. an excellent understanding of miscellaneous metal and structural steel projects.
- The ability to read, understand and interpret architectural and structural drawings to perform material take-off, estimation and prepare shop drawings.
- Proficient understanding of current practices, methods and materials in construction.
- Knowledge of building codes and standards in structural steel and miscellaneous metals.
- Working knowledge and ability to understand AUTOCAD an asset.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

- Have direct experience managing miscellaneous metals and structural steel projects either with the specialized sub-trade or with the general contractor.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Preferred education at the bachelor level. Post secondary education with direct industry experience is accepted. - Minimum 5 years experience in the construction industry.
