Elation is looking for a Front-End Software Engineer in Platform with a deep understanding of web programming, design, and technical challenges. Elation's development team is a small group of experienced and talented engineers who are passionate about our product and users. As a member of the Platform team you'll be involved in leading the design and development of Elation's Front End platform, and promoting best practices across all functions of development. You will act as a force multiplier and partner with designers and engineers to bring a delightful user experience to our customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work cross-functionally in the Engineering Enablement Platform team. Partner with Product Designers and Engineering teams to advance Elation's front end practices
  • Design, develop and expand Elation's React component library
  • Architect and design tooling and libraries leveraged by the whole Engineering organization
  • Promote best practices in CI/CD, performance, testability, accessibility, etc…
  • Suggest and drive improvement on all parts of the stack and internal development processes
  • Learn from and mentor other engineers

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • 5+ years relevant professional experience in front-end software development
  • Strong React and Redux experience
  • Strong Experience in Front End build tooling (e.g. webpack, vite, babel..)
  • Experience in accessibility (principles and tooling), front end performance optimization
  • Be a self starter. Be curious. Being able to identify problems and build partnerships to come up with solutions.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical principles to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

BONUS POINTS

  • Knowledge of, or strong interest in, the US healthcare industry and common technologies used
  • Excitement for Typescript and using static types
  • Experience in OpenAPI

Salary: $140,000-170,000/yr CAD
