Hourly Rate:

The academic year starts on September 1 and ends on August 31.

Undergraduate students will be paid at the lower rate; while graduate students will be paid at the higher rate.

These rates do not included vacation pay nor statutory pay.

These rates will be applied until a new collective agreement is ratified. Retro will be paid after the ratification.

Requirements and Nature of Work:

Nature du travail - Nature of Work : la surveillance est en personne. Cela comprend également d'apporter/retourner le matériel d'examen, préparer la salle d'examen, annoncer les directives & procédures, surveiller les examens, etc. - voir Art de la Convention Collective SCFP 2626 ainsi que d'appliquer et de respecter les règlements des examens de la Section de Common Law // Monitoring will be done in person. This also includes bringing/returning the examination material, set-up the exam room, announcing the exam instructions & procedures, invigilating the exams, etc. See Art of the Collective Agreement CUPE 2626, applying and enforcing the Common Law Section exam regulations.

Compétences minimales et exigences - Minimum qualifications and requirements :

Éxigences :Tous les ateliers «Formations prévues par la loi, obligatoires pour tous les employés» s'appliquent même aux surveillants des examens finaux. Si vous êtes intéressés à appliquer à ce poste de surveillance, vous devez compléter ces ateliers et joindre une copie des certificats et le formulaire de demande d'emploi (Annexe D) à votre CV avant de télécharger le tout comme un document, quand vous appliquez en ligne. Une copie des certificats est nécessaire comme preuve avant de vous assigner les heures de surveillance.

Compétences minimales : Être inscrit dans un programme d'études à l'Université d'Ottawa. Expérience en surveillance. Avoir la capacité de travailler sous pression et une habilité à communiquer de façon claire & précise dans les deux langues officielles. Être ponctuel, fiable et  faire preuve de discrétion, tact et diplomatie.

Requirements: All "Mandatory training sessions required by law for all employees" apply even to proctoring final exams. A copy of the certificates is needed as a proof before assigning you, the hours of proctoring.

Minimum qualifications: Must be registered in a program of study at the University of Ottawa. Proctoring experience. Must have the ability to work under pressure and communicate clearly and precisely in both official languages. Must be punctual, reliable, discrete and have tact and diplomacy
