Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. Full Time and Part Time positions available. Hours include some weekends. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and cooking, along with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. We are located in Kemptville, ON so you must have your own transportation as there is no bus/taxi/uber system here. Preference of 2-3 years cooking experience. Rate of Pay dependant on experience. Generous tip out also included

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards
  • Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet service demands
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils
  • Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines in all aspects of food handling
  • Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service
  • Participate in meal preparation for special events or catering as needed

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods
  • Experience in food service or restaurant environments preferred
  • Familiarity with food handling practices and safety regulations
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
  • Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff
  • Previous experience in a kitchen setting is highly desirable
  • Passion for the culinary arts and commitment to quality food production

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00-$25.00 per hour
