Steel Plus Network (SPN) is seeking a President who brings both strategic clarity and relational intelligence—someone capable of shaping the future of a growing North American network while stewarding the operational, financial, and cultural foundations that make that future possible.
This is a role for a leader who thrives at the intersection of strategy, governance, and human connection. As President, you will serve as the central integrator of our ecosystem—aligning the Board of Managers, our 91+ fabricator members including our steel fabricators shareholders and preferred supplier partners to create a network that is financially strong, operationally excellent, and poised for continued expansion.
The Opportunity:
The President of SPN is the senior executive responsible for:
- Strategic leadership and governance;
- Financial stewardship and investment oversight;
- Membership and supplier growth;
- Brand presence and industry influence;
- Operational excellence and team leadership.
Your decisions will directly shape the evolution of SPN and the value we deliver to members across North America. You will also gain privileged access to industry leaders, innovators, and strategic partners across the manufacturing and construction sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & Governance
- Translate strategic vision into actionable strategy and measurable outcomes;
- Ensure organizational policies, governance practices, and compliance standards remain relevant and robust;
- Prepare Board and Committee agendas, materials, and minutes; act as a trusted advisor on operational, financial, and strategic matters.
Financial Leadership
- Oversee all banking, investments, cash flow, and financial accounts;
- Monitor monthly financial performance and ensure accurate reporting;
- Manage invoicing, year-end documentation, reconciliations, and accountant coordination;
- Maintain strong relationships with external accounting partners and banking representatives.
Membership Growth & Business Development
- Serve as SPN's ambassador at industry events and strategic gatherings;
- Engage prospective fabricators and suppliers, presenting SPN's value proposition with clarity and influence;
- Support the expansion of SPN's membership base toward its growth targets.
Supplier Relations & Program Negotiation
- Lead the review, negotiation, and optimization of supplier and rebate programs;
- Maintain strong relationship and creative solution-oriented environment between the suppliers and the steel fabricators shareholders;
- Ensure accurate documentation of all supplier agreements.
Brand, Communications & Marketing
- Oversee SPN's digital presence, content strategy, and communication standards;
- Support thought leadership, member stories, and supplier features across platforms;
- Ensure messaging is aligned with SPN's strategic objectives and brand identity.
Operations & Organizational Leadership
- Lead and support a high-performing team through coaching, clarity, and accountability;
- Oversee office administration, record retention, and operational systems with the support of the Director of Operations;
- Ensure staff have the tools and resources needed for success;
- Lead bi-weekly staff meetings and maintain strong day-to-day communication.
Events & Strategic Meetings
- Support the Director of Operations with the planning and execution of all SPN events, including the Annual General Meeting;
- Maintain historical event records and collaborate on budgets, logistics, and design.
Legal & Compliance
- Maintain licensing and franchise registrations across jurisdictions;
- Coordinate with legal counsel to ensure compliance and timely filings.

Le(la) président(e) de RAP est le cadre supérieur responsable de :

Responsabilités clés :
Gouvernance et leadership stratégique
- Traduire la vision stratégique en une stratégie exploitable et en objectifs mesurables ;
- Veiller à ce que les politiques organisationnelles, les pratiques de gouvernance et les normes de conformité restent pertinentes et robustes ;
- Préparer les ordres du jour, les documents et les procès-verbaux du conseil et des comités ; agir en tant que conseiller de confiance sur les questions opérationnelles, financières et stratégiques.
Gérance financière et surveillance des investissements
- Superviser l'ensemble des opérations bancaires, des investissements, des flux de trésorerie et des comptes financiers ;
- Surveiller la performance financière mensuelle et assurer des rapports précis ;
- Gérer la facturation, la documentation de fin d'année, les conciliations et la coordination avec les comptables ;
- Maintenir des relations solides avec les partenaires comptables externes et les représentants bancaires.
Croissance des membres et développement des affaires
- Agir en tant qu'ambassadeur(trice) du RAP lors d'événements de l'industrie et de rencontres stratégiques ;
- Engager les fabricants et fournisseurs potentiels en présentant la proposition de valeur de RAP avec clarté et influence ;
- Soutenir l'expansion de la base de membres de RAP vers ses objectifs de croissance.
Relations avec les fournisseurs et négociation des programmes
- Diriger l'examen, la négociation et l'optimisation des programmes de fournisseurs et de ristournes ;
- Maintenir une relation solide et un environnement créatif axé sur les solutions entre les fournisseurs et les actionnaires des fabricants d'acier ;
- Assurer une documentation précise de tous les accords avec les fournisseurs.
Image de marque, communication et marketing
- Superviser la présence numérique de RAP, la stratégie de contenu et les normes de communication;
- Soutenir le leadership éclairé, les témoignages de membres et les portraits de fournisseurs sur les différentes plateformes;
- Veiller à ce que les messages soient alignés avec les objectifs stratégiques et l'identité de marque de RAP.
Opérations et leadership organisationnel
- Diriger et soutenir une équipe performante par le coaching, la clarté et la responsabilisation ;
- Superviser l'administration du bureau, la conservation des dossiers et les systèmes opérationnels avec le soutien du directeur des opérations ;
- S'assurer que le personnel dispose des outils et des ressources nécessaires à sa réussite ;
- Animer les réunions d'équipe bimensuelles et maintenir une communication quotidienne fluide.
Événements et réunions stratégiques
- Soutenir la directrice des opérations dans la planification et l'exécution de tous les événements de RAP, y compris l'assemblée générale annuelle (AGA) ;
- Maintenir les archives historiques des événements et collaborer sur les budgets, la logistique et la conception.
Affaires juridiques et conformité
- Gérer les licences et les enregistrements de franchise dans les différentes juridictions ;
- Coordonner avec les conseillers juridiques pour assurer la conformité et les dépôts de documents en temps opportun.
