Insight Global is seeking an experienced
Back-End Developer
to help transform a corporate finance technology ecosystem. In this role, you will design and implement robust integration solutions that seamlessly connect critical financial systems, ensuring efficient data flow and operational excellence across the enterprise.

This is a 6 month contract with the possibility of extension.

You will architect scalable, secure, and high-performance integrations, develop custom enhancements to optimize
Oracle EBS
functionality, and support mission-critical processes that uphold financial accuracy and compliance. This position requires strong technical expertise and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions aligned with business objectives. Additionally, you will troubleshoot complex issues, maintain system reliability, and drive continuous improvement within our finance technology landscape.

Key Responsibilities

  • Integration Development: Design, develop, and maintain integrations between Oracle EBS Financial modules and internal/external systems, including customizations, extensions, workflows, and data conversions.
  • Technical Implementation: Build solutions using APIs, REST/SOAP services, PL/SQL, Python, Kafka, and other middleware technologies, following Oracle best practices.
  • Lifecycle Ownership: Lead the full integration lifecycle—analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and documentation—while optimizing performance and resolving issues.
  • Oracle Expertise: Demonstrate strong experience with Oracle EBS Financial modules (AP, AR, GL, AGIS, Projects, FA, CM) and related data structures.
  • Production Support: Troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement performance improvements.

Technical Leadership & Collaboration

  • Act as a technical expert and mentor for junior developers and integration engineers.
  • Participate in architecture discussions, solution design sessions, and code reviews.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, functional analysts, and infrastructure teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 8+ years of integration development experience with a strong focus on Oracle EBS Financial modules, including data structures, accounting flows, and interface tables/APIs.
  • 2–3 years (or one full-cycle project) of hands-on EBS implementation experience.
  • Proficiency in PL/SQL, XML Gateway, Apex, Python, and experience building/managing integrations, REST/SOAP services, APIs, and middleware platforms like Kafka.
  • Expertise in XML Gateway for secure management and transformation of XML-based data between internal and external systems.
  • Skilled in Unix/Linux, shell scripting, and Oracle database fundamentals, with strong analytical, troubleshooting, and performance-tuning capabilities.
  • Enterprise-level experience required.
  • Ability to mentor and lead teams while working independently.
