Title: Senior .NET Developer (Mendix)

Location
: Montreal – Hybrid, 3 days per week on-site required

Duration
: 24 months – 37.5 hours/week

The candidate must possess the following qualifications:

Required:


• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.


• At least 8 years of experience as a Software Developer or Engineer.


• Experience developing and maintaining secure, full-stack .NET solutions with C#.


• Experience designing, documenting, developing, securing, and consuming REST and/or Graph APIs.


• Strong understanding of SOLID design principles and design patterns.


• Experience with modern authentication and authorization mechanisms (OpenID Connect and OAuth).


• Experience in developing robust automated tests (unit tests, service tests).


• Experience and motivation to evolve and modernize large-scale, mission-critical applications with complex business logic.


• Development skills with various cloud providers and cloud design patterns.


• Understanding of containerization and cloud services (Docker, Kubernetes, Tanzu).


• Proficiency with Microsoft Visual Studio, Git, Azure DevOps or Jenkins, NuGet, and related tools.


• Experience with relational databases such as RDS, SQL Server, and MySQL.


• Good understanding of event-driven architecture and knowledge of event broadcasting and messaging systems such as Kafka and ActiveMQ.


• Bilingualism required: fluency in French and English, spoken and written.

Strengths:


• Expertise in developing and deploying Mendix applications or other Low-Code/No-Code platforms.


• Experience in developing and maintaining CI/CD scripts in YAML (pipeline as code) as well as in as-code integrations with cloud providers.


• Knowledge of customer transaction applications related to the financial sector.


• Knowledge of Domain-Driven Design.

Responsibilities:


• Participate in all phases of the Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SSDLC).


• Design and implement technical solutions that comply with client requirements and software development standards.


• Implement, test, and maintain CI/CD pipelines (YAML) and integrate them with recommended quality tools (e.g., SonarQube).


• Demonstrate technical leadership, stay up-to-date on new technologies, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
