Mississauga, Ontario, Canada Desjardins Full time

Temporary position for 6 months

As a Casualty Claims Designer, you play a key role in analyzing learning needs, designing instructional solutions and supporting employees through effective training experiences within the casualty claims environment. You contribute both strategically and operationally conducting needs analyses, developing targeted training materials and coordinating logistics to ensure learning initiatives directly support business objectives. You work closely with Claims teams in Accident Benefits and Bodily Injury, as well as Claims Legal Counsel, supporting learning needs that range from new hire onboarding to project‑based learning, workshops and specialized skill development. You collaborate with facilitators, stakeholders, partners and subject matter experts, offering guidance, coaching and recommendations rooted in strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of learning design principles. You also partner with the editing and multimedia teams to enhance learning materials and deliver polished, accessible experiences. Because you work with a wide range of stakeholders, strong interpersonal skills and the ability to simplify complex claims content are essential. More specifically, you will be required to:

  • Conduct diagnostic assessments to identify performance gaps, challenges, learner needs and required outcomes in the casualty claims area.

  • Perform comprehensive training needs analyses to define objectives, audiences, constraints and recommended learning strategies.

  • Coordinate end‑to‑end design projects, including planning, timelines, stakeholder engagement and deliverables.

  • Create structured training plans using effective instructional design methods, including the 80/20 rule.

  • Develop high‑quality learning materials—eLearning, facilitator guides, job aids and other tools—using clear and effective writing techniques.

  • Deliver pilot sessions, collect feedback and conduct follow‑ups to refine and improve the learning experience.

  • Conduct ongoing annual maintenance on training materials by integrating SME insights, learner feedback, organizational updates and participation data.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with business partners, while continuously strengthening your instructional design capabilities.
