Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented
Millwright
to join a leading seafood processing operation in
Vancouver, BC
. In this role, you will apply your mechanical expertise to maintain, repair, and optimize critical production equipment that supports safe, efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, repair, and maintain production, utility, and processing equipment
  • Support operating engineers with preventive maintenance
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems such as:
  • Ice machines
  • Freezer systems
  • Fish unloading and delivery equipment
  • Dock cranes
  • Temperature-controlled production areas
  • Perform equipment inspections and maintain documentation
  • Weld and fabricate custom parts as needed
  • Train plant staff on new equipment installation and operation
  • Collaborate with operating engineers to ensure machinery safety and uptime
  • Overtime availability on short notice when required

Qualifications

  • Valid BC Millwright Trade Certification (required)
  • Minimum
    2 years of Millwright experience
  • Experience with pressure equipment (boilers, cooling, refrigeration)
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with diverse teams
  • Flexibility for varied shifts (Mon–Fri / Tues–Sat)
  • Experience in food processing, fishing, or manufacturing is an advantage
