Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Sales Associate with an interest in movies, music, and other entertainment media to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of sales techniques, and the ability to provide exceptional customer service. This role involves engaging with customers, demonstrating products, and driving sales through effective merchandising and upselling strategies. Bilingual abilities and experience in technology or product demos are highly valued to enhance the shopping experience for diverse clientele.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that meet their needs
  • Engage in upselling and cross-selling to maximize sales opportunities
  • Operate POS systems accurately for transactions, including cash handling and cashiering duties
  • Maintain organized merchandise displays and ensure products are well-stocked and properly presented
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve multiple customers efficiently
  • Utilize phone etiquette skills when communicating with customers over the phone or via digital channels
  • Support store operations through organizational tasks such as inventory management and merchandising

Requirements

  • Proven experience in retail sales, customer service, or related fields; experience in technology sales or product demos is a plus
  • Fluent in English verbal, reading, and writing
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly convey product information
  • Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately
  • Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering, and cash handling procedures
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in merchandising and stock management
  • Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks during peak hours
  • Professional phone etiquette when engaging with customers over the phone or online
  • Experience in second-hand, trade, or pawn environment an asset.
