Role Overview

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented After-Hours Technical Custodian to join our team. This role is essential in maintaining the cleanliness, functionality, and overall excellence of our space outside of regular business hours. You will ensure that our offices, coworking areas, and event spaces are pristine, safe, and ready for members each day.

Scope of Work

The After-Hours Technical Custodian is responsible for ensuring And-Co's premium standards are upheld during non-business hours. This includes:

  • Maintaining exceptional cleanliness across all member-facing and back-of-house areas.
  • Performing routine facility checks and addressing minor technical issues.
  • Preparing and resetting event spaces and office layouts for next-day use.
  • Managing inventory and equipment setup, including AV systems and furniture configurations.
  • Providing basic member support when required, ensuring a welcoming and safe environment.

Core Responsibilities & Functional Accountabilities

  1. Cleanliness (50%)
    • Perform thorough cleaning of offices, shared spaces, kitchens, and restrooms after hours.
    • Ensure all surfaces, floors, and furniture meet And-Co's premium standards.
    • Adhere to agreed cleaning tasks and operational standards for consistency and quality.
  2. Upkeep & Maintenance of Facility (20%)
    • Conduct routine checks on lighting, HVAC, and basic building systems.
    • Report and troubleshoot minor technical issues (e.g., Wi-Fi connectivity, AV equipment resets).
    • Proactively maintain both member-facing touchpoints and backend systems (mechanical, technology, access).
  3. Equipment Inventory & Space Setup (20%)
    • Manage physical setup, reconfiguration, and inventory of fixtures, furniture, and hard goods.
    • Reset and prepare event spaces for upcoming bookings.
    • Handle basic AV setup and ensure equipment is functional for next-day use.
  4. Member Support (10%)
    • Provide proactive, caring assistance to members, their pets, and the team, embodying And-Co's commitment to "Unreasonable Hospitality."
    • Respond to member inquiries or minor technical needs during after-hours when applicable.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in custodial, facilities, or technical support roles preferred.
  • Basic understanding of building systems and mechanical equipment troubleshooting.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Comfortable working evening or overnight shifts.

Schedule & Compensation

  • Hours: After-hours (typically overnight and weekends).
  • Compensation: Starting at CA $22/hour, commensurate with experience.
