Hydrovac Operator

Overview

We are seeking a skilled Hydrovac Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in heavy equipment operation and have experience in excavation and construction environments. As a Hydrovac Operator, you will be responsible for safely operating hydrovac trucks to perform excavation tasks while ensuring compliance with safety protocols and regulations.

Duties

• Operate hydrovac trucks for safe and efficient excavation of soil and debris.
• Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functionality and safety.
• Collaborate with team members to execute excavation projects effectively.
• Utilize heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, and graders as needed.
• Perform horizontal drilling tasks when required.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment on-site.
• Follow all safety guidelines and protocols to minimize risks during operations.
• Communicate effectively with project managers and other team members regarding project status and any issues that arise.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in heavy equipment operation, including but not limited to dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, graders, and paving machinery.
• Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues as they arise.
• Valid commercial driving license (CDL) is preferred.
• Familiarity with horizontal drilling techniques is a plus.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions and physically demanding environments.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team setting.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $35.00-$40.00 per hour
