Position Summary

The Client Advisor & Stock Associate plays a dual role in delivering an exceptional client experience on the sales floor while ensuring operational excellence in stockroom management. This hybrid position supports both front-of-house luxury service and back-of-house efficiency, contributing directly to sales, brand representation, and overall boutique performance.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Client Experience & Sales (Front of House)

  • Welcome, engage, and build authentic connections with clients in line with Longchamp's values of Authenticity and Energy.
  • Deliver personalized hospitality and emotional intelligence in every interaction, ensuring an elevated luxury shopping experience.
  • Actively drive sales through storytelling, product knowledge, and consultative selling techniques.
  • Maintain high standards of presentation, clienteling, and service recovery when needed.
  • Assist with mailings, phone orders, gift wrapping, and boutique events.
  • Accurately complete sales transactions at POS (cash, credit, debit, gift cards, returns, exchanges).
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and standards including loss prevention and compliance.

Stock & Operations (Back of House)

  • Receive, check, and organize merchandise following company procedures.
  • Accurately maintain stockroom organization to ensure product availability for sales team.
  • Perform inventory counts, reconcile discrepancies, and support loss prevention initiatives.
  • Prepare merchandise for display, transfers, and replenishment to the sales floor.
  • Tag, process, and re-stock merchandise as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in stock and sales areas, upholding the highest standards of boutique presentation.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required; degree in Retail, Fashion, or related field preferred.
  • 3+ years' experience in luxury retail, boutique, or sales-related role.
  • Familiarity with stock operations, clienteling, and merchandising.
  • Proficiency in POS systems (Cegid preferred), Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Experience with shipping/receiving systems (UPS) and basic inventory management.
  • Ability to work varied hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be able to freely access all areas of the store (selling floor, stockroom, register area).
  • Organized self-starter with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage authentically with clients.
  • Ability to balance sales-driven goals with operational precision.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with luxury retail standards and product care.
  • Flexible and collaborative team player who embodies hospitality and professionalism.
  • Experience researching and exploring new retail trends is a plus.
  • Language skills are a strong asset — in addition to English, proficiency in French, Mandarin, Cantonese, Korean, Japanese, Tagalog, Vietnamese, or Hindi is highly valued to serve our diverse client base.
