Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Laundry Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our dry cleaning and laundry shop. The ideal candidate will possess strong hand-on skills, extensive experience in cleaning and custodial services, and a background in hospitality or hotel management (asset). This role is vital in ensuring efficient laundry processes, maintaining high standards of cleanliness, and self-starting to deliver exceptional service. The Laundry Supervisor will play a key role in managing store schedules, communication with customers, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Duties

  • Coordinate the daily activities of laundry and household items cleaning, including sorting, washing, drying, folding, all household items cleaning, and brushing coats.
  • Identify fabrics and cleaning methods.
  • Ensure all laundry operations adhere to company policies, safety regulations, and quality standards.
  • Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and laundry chemicals; place orders as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area to promote a safe working environment.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure high standards of cleanliness and efficiency are met.
  • Welcome customers with strong reception skills (smiles are important).
  • Address any operational issues promptly and implement solutions to improve workflow.
  • Collaborate with other departments such as dry cleaning to coordinate laundry needs effectively.

Experience

  • Knowledge of laundry operations, including handling commercial laundry equipment and processes.
  • Experience in managing inventory, machine utilization, and maintaining quality control standards.
  • Experience of customer services.
  • Prior experience is an asset.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $16.00-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
