Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Planning and Budgeting Cloud Service (PBCS/EPBCS) Consultant responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting cloud-based planning, budgeting, and forecasting solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong functional and technical expertise in Enterprise Planning modules, driver-based modeling, Smart View, data integration, metadata management, and financial processes across planning cycles.

The role involves working closely with Finance, FP&A, IT, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable planning solutions and ensure smooth operations.

Key Responsibilities1. Solution Design & Implementation

• Lead design and configuration of PBCS/EPBCS applications including:
• Workforce Planning
• Financials
• Capex
• Strategic Modeling
• Custom Planning modules
• Define business rules, calculation logic, driver-based models, forms, dashboards, and task lists.
• Work with business users to translate forecasting and budgeting requirements into scalable system configurations.

2. Application Development & Enhancements

• Build and enhance:
• Business rules (Groovy, Calc Manager)
• Planning forms and composite forms
• Dashboards and navigation flows
• Data maps and smart push configurations
• Develop complex allocation models, scenario/version management, and rolling forecast capabilities.

3. Data Integration & Metadata Management

• Manage metadata updates for key planning dimensions (Account, Entity, Cost Center, Scenario, Version, Product, etc.).
• Work with Data Integration / Data Management, ODI, or OIC to manage data loads from ERP, EPM, or third-party systems.
• Create and maintain data load rules, mappings, and validation processes.
• Ensure data accuracy, reconciliation, and completeness across cycles.

4. Testing, Migration & Deployment

• Perform unit testing, SIT, UAT support, and regression testing across environments.
• Create migration packages and manage deployments between Dev/Test/Prod.
• Ensure system performance optimization, calculation tuning, and validation of business rules.

5. Support & Operations

• Provide L2/L3 support for planning cycles, scenario rollovers, metadata updates, and Smart View issues.
• Troubleshoot issues related to business rules, forms, integrations, and security.
• Support monthly/quarterly planning cycles and ensure smooth execution of workflow tasks.

6. User Training, Documentation & Collaboration

• Conduct end-user training for Finance and planning teams.
• Prepare documentation for configuration, SOPs, runbooks, design specifications, and admin guides.
• Work closely with Finance, FP&A, Accounting, and IT teams to improve forecasting processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 8–10+ years of experience PBCS/EPBCS implementations or support.

Hands-on expertise in:

• EPBCS business frameworks (Financials, Workforce, Capex, Projects)
• Groovy scripting & Calc Manager
• Smart View report development
• Metadata design and management
• Driver-based planning models
• Strong understanding of financial planning processes (budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis).

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in:
• Essbase block storage concepts, member formulas, and aggregations
• Groovy, Calculation Manager, cross-module data maps
• Data Management / Data Integration
• EPM Automate scripts for automation
• Experience working with ERP Cloud, OIC integrations, or BI Publisher extracts (nice to have).

Soft Skills

• Strong analytical skills and ability to translate business requirements into technical configurations.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with Finance and IT teams.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive.

Preferred Certifications

• Oracle EPM Cloud Planning Specialist Certification
• Oracle EPBCS/PBCS Implementation Certification
• Oracle Cloud (ERP/EPM) or Essbase-related certifications
• Finance or accounting credentials (MBA/CMA/CA) are an advantage

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00-$95,000.00 per year
