Caretakers work closely school staff to maintain the school building to the highest standards possible. Our caretaking staff are supported by the division Maintenance Supervisor.
 
Preference will be given to caretakers who:

• Have training and/or experience in the caretaker field;
• Place a high premium on safety at all times;
• Demonstrate a caring and supportive attitude toward children;
• Value communication and collaborative relationships;
• Are committed to being flexible in the workplace;
• Are committed to positive working relationships. 
   

WHMIS training or a willingness to obtain this training is a requirement of obtaining this position. 

Substitute Positions

Applications for substitute positions will be accepted throughout the year.  Processing of applications is done based on school needs and in order of receipt.

Once your application is approved, you will receive a letter detailing the documents you will be required to submit prior to your placement on the substitute list and prior to placement in a school.  The submission of these documents is not required until you have received a letter of approval.  You are not eligible for employment until your name has been placed on the appropriate substitute list.
