Brown's Industrial is a sales and service dealership specializing in Bobcat and Develon Heavy Equipment. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Equipment Technician to join our teams at both our Cold Lake and Lloydminster Shops. Our ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy-duty vehicles and equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, as well as a commitment to safety and efficiency
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair heavy-duty vehicles and equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, brake inspections, tire rotations, and fluid checks.
- Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems, transmissions, engines, and drive trains.
- Use diagnostic tools and software to identify faults and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and inspections.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company policies.
- Collaborate with other mechanics and departments to prioritize and complete work orders.
- Test repaired equipment for proper performance before returning to service.
- Respond to emergency breakdowns and perform field repairs when necessary.
Role Requirements:
- Journeyman Heavy Duty Technician, or a registered 3rd or 4th year HET apprentice with your own tools
- Previous experience with repairs and maintenance on Bobcat equipment is considered an asset
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical components.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Strong work ethic with ability to work in both indoor and outdoor environments.
- Able to work efficiently and as part of a team as well as independently.
- Attention to detail in all areas of work.
- Exceptional organizational, time management and prioritization skills.
- Strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
- CVIP license would be an asset.
- Class 1 or 3 license is an asset but not required
- Candidate must have a valid Class 5 drivers license and provide a driver's abstract.
- Candidate must also pass a Drug & Alcohol Test & Physical Demand Analysis.
