The Senior Technology Manager - Enterprise Cloud Platforms will be a leader in lululemon's cloud transformation journey and shape the future of our platform ecosystem. This role is responsible for defining and evangelizing enterprise-level platforms that enhance engineering productivity in a multi-cloud environment (primarily AWS and Azure). You will oversee the design, build, and operation of foundational services—such as container orchestration, secrets management, and developer enablement—using modern practices and tooling to accelerate cloud adoption in a federated model.
As a strategic leader, you will champion self-service capabilities, frictionless engagement, and speed to market, enabling teams to innovate confidently while maintaining security and compliance. This position requires a visionary mindset, strong technical acumen, and the ability to influence across multiple domains.
core responsibilities
A day in the life:
- Set the vision and strategy for enterprise cloud platforms, ensuring Kubernetes and related services deliver secure, scalable foundations for the organization.
- Engage with stakeholders across engineering, architecture, and product teams to understand platform requirements, prioritize features, and align on timelines.
- Develop and refine roadmaps for multi-cloud adoption (AWS and Azure), container orchestration, and developer enablement services.
- Lead and mentor a high-performing team of engineers, architects, and product managers—fostering growth, collaboration, and technical excellence.
- Drive technology decisions through Build vs. Buy analysis, vendor evaluations, and RFP processes for platform services.
- Champion best practices in Kubernetes operations, CI/CD pipelines, observability, security, IAM, and cost optimization across federated teams.
- Facilitate cross-team alignment through collaborative forums, workshops, and technical reviews—removing friction and accelerating adoption.
- Oversee operational excellence, including incident management, performance tuning, and continuous improvement of platform reliability.
- Manage budgets and vendor relationships, ensuring cost efficiency and value delivery for managed services and tooling.
- Influence organizational change, promoting self-service capabilities and a culture of speed-to-market while maintaining compliance and governance.
qualifications
Basic Requirements:
- 7+ years cloud infrastructure technology experience.
- 5+ years building and managing technology teams.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and coach team members and motivate for continuous improvement.
- Expertise in championing modern ways-of-working such as Agile, Product management, DevOps, cloud architect and related practices. Experience in establishing standards and best practices for local team and community.
- Keen interest in research and maintaining knowledge on latest technologies, technical practices, industry news and challenges for Enterprise Cloud Platform and Containerization capabilities and practices.
- Proven ability to challenge the status quo and drive changes to improve business performance and productivity.
- Ability to adapt delivery to meet critical business and technology domain needs.
- Strong verbal & written communications skills.
- Demonstrated leadership to evangelize and drive efforts to maximize value of enterprise cloud platforms.
Technical Requirements:
- Hands on architecture and design experience - Must have the ability to architect and scale the platform services used by hundreds of engineers.
- Demonstrated technical decision making in complex systems. Must have a track record of driving platform adoption through developer experience and technical enablement.
- Experience contributing to or leading open-source projects in the Cloud Native Eco systems.
- Deep Kubernetes or CNCF contributions
- Deep experience on CNCF ecosystem like Helm, Envoy, Linkerd, Istio, Harbor, CoreDNS,
- DevOps practices and tooling such as CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code - terraform and Rancher, pipeline automation - GitLab and ArgoCD
- Deep knowledge of AWS and Azure cloud, cloud security, cloud networking and pipelines
- Agile practices and Jira software experience
- Collaboration and ability to work closely with diverse stakeholders and enable them by providing scalable, resilient, and secure cloud platform
- System observability and tracing using tools like - Prometheus, Datadog, Splunk

compensation and benefits package
lululemon's compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $158, ,500 annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
